Hooray for Friday!

Today my husband finally got home after being gone for a whole week hunting in Pennsylvania. He didn't get a deer unfortunately, but he said he had a good time. I am just thankful he made it home safe and sound. I have been busy today getting ready for his return, trying to get all the laundry washed before he came in with a pile more. You know our husband's are so bad at bringing home piles of laundry after a long trip...LOL! My daugther got so excited when he got home before her nap time that she wouldn't take a nap so now I'm stuck with a whiney 2 yr old for the rest of the of the evening. I'm just ready for life to get back to normal. I did finally upload my newest template and I'm proud to offer it here as a freebie for all my great blog readers. This is probably the last freebie for the weekend. I've got to work on some new designs I haven't had much time.

I call this template the Circle & Stars template and give credit to Carolyn of Scrap N Tag for her star overlay I used in this template. Thanks so much Carolyn.

Shopping day

Finally I got out today to do some Christmas shopping. My husband is going to be so upset with me when he gets home from his hunting trip because I've spent all the money while he was gone...LOL! My mom, Allison and I went to Sam's Club and Toys R Us today. Allison scored a chalk/dry erase easel and a Disney Princess Enchanted Tales table and chair set for Christmas. I have a little more to get for her, but she's almost done as far as gifts go from us. I also got a few things I needed for other people, so all in all it was a successful shopping trip day. I'm pooped out though from it all.

I have another template for this week I need to upload, I will try to get it up later tonight or tomorrow for you guys. Thanks to Candy Cook for using my Snowflake template and featuring it on her blog. It looks wonderful.

I am so excited that this blog has gotten off to a great success. I'm hoping I can keep up and get you all more great freebies out there soon.

I have a template freebie again for you today that has been in my 4shared file for some time. I see some have already found and downloaded it. I hope everyone likes it I wasn't as pleased with this one, but since I haven't had much time today this is today's freebie.

I Love Craigslist!!!

Hi everyone. Hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday. It's a beautifully sunny day here in my neck of the woods, but I'm still feeling like poo so I haven't even gotten dressed today. :(

I've been spending my hours surfing the net trying to finish my Christmas shopping. Spending my hubby's money while he's off hunting in PA this week...hahaha!! Today I scored a great buy on a playhouse for my daughter and the best part of it was I didn't have to spend a dime on it because my grandma sent her money and my dad is paying the rest for Christmas. We are going to pick it up tomorrow sometime. I just love Craigslist. LOL!

Since I got such a great deal today I thought I'd share this great Christmas freebie template I created the other night with you guys. I haven't made a layout using it yet, but I can't wait to see what some of you come up with.

I finally ordered my scrapbooks I completed awhile back. I have a 8x8 ABC book I did for my daughter and I ordered 3 of those through Shutterfly, 2 for gifts and one for me. I also ordered my first 12x12 book of Allison's 2nd year pages. I can't wait to see them. Right now Shutterfly has a free shipping offer on purchases $50 or more. Surgery Went Well

Well I've got 3 less teeth in my mouth now. The surgery went well, I'm just hurting like heck tonight since the numbness wore off. The Vicodin's are only working like 3 hours instead of the 4 they say I have to wait between taking them. UGH!

I thought since today was Black Friday and I didn't get to join in the shopping craziness this morning I'd offer another free template I made the other day. I haven't made a page with it yet so I'd love to see what you guys come up with. This file is also in both PSP & PSD format to help some of you out who scrap using PSP.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I will hopefully have some new stuff up for grabs in the next week. We are staying home today since Allison is sick, I've got a ham in the oven and will make some Stove Top Stuffing and Greenbean casserole along with a apple pie I picked up. Just my husband, my mom and her husband and Allison this Thanksgiving. It is nice though. Tomorrow I have oral surgery early in the morning to take out the remaining 3 wisdom teeth I have so I'm not going to be around posting for probably a couple days here.
Again have a nice Thanksgiving and enjoy Black Friday shopping sales.

Update on my Daughter & My awesome friend Trish

Back from the doctor's office today. With this update:
She was fine all morning running about a 100 degree temp. We took her to the doctor and he checked her out said her throat was a little red so ordered the strep test and wanted her temp checked since the nurse didn't do it at first. The nurse comes in to do the strep, Allison got so upset and started screaming and wouldn't stop. Well she started feeling really really hot and after that the nurse came in to take her temp. She did the first ear 105 then she did it again and it was 104 something in the other ear. She went out to tell the doctor and came back in and told us to strip her clothes off and they'd be in with Tylenol and Motrin to give her. They gave her both doses and the doctor came back in to talk with us. Allison is still screaming so bad I could barely hear him. I think he said the strep test was negative (didn't give us antibotics so I am pretty sure it was neg) so he order a CDC blood test to check for a baterial virus. They came back in to do that and it was so bad. We had to physical hold her down crying and screaming for them to draw blood out of her arm. Keith had to hold her arm they were drawing blood from and I thought he was gonna loose it. The blood tests should be back this afternoon and if I don't hear from the doc by 4 he said to call the office. So no Thanksgiving for us tomorrow at all. I just want my baby well.
MY AWESOME SCRAPPING FRIEND
She's the person who got me hooked on this blog site. I wanted to mention her to everyone and let you know she's out there in the scrapping world and doing an awesome job. You can snag her many templates like this one she posted today

Too early Wednesday

I'm having a really bad morning today. My daughter woke up at 3 a.m. after I really never fell asleep so I'm running on no sleep today. Fun! Fun! She is running a low grade fever again for the second day in a row so I guess I'm calling the doctor today to see if I can get her in, she's never sick so of course I'm worried when she gets a little fever.

Anyway, today I have a 12x12 scrapbook template for everyone to enjoy. This is only in PSD format.

Here is a preview of the page I made using this template. I used Designs by Krista's kit Autumn Beauty

You know friends are great

I have had the pleasure of going on a couple trips this year to meet some internet buddies of mine. In May I visited my grandma in southern Missouri and while there I met a friend of mine from Kansas City half way in Springfield. We had a great time and took our kids to the zoo there and all. Then just about a month ago I had the pleasure of traveling to New York to meet friends from Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Canada. We all met up in Niagra Falls and went over into Canada to tour the falls one day for a few hours. The rest of the weekend was spent on shopping and a road trip from Pittsburgh to Niagra Falls and back. It was nice to have a weekend away with no kids for all us ladies. Anyway I got some really great pics and made it into this page to remind myself how great of friends I have.

For this page I used a Design by Krista kit Thankful from her blog linked in my favorites here. I also used a Templates-n-More Template #39 from my great friend Trish. You can get this template or one of her many other templates here. Thanks Ladies for your wonderful designs.

I will try and post a few more of my latest pages in the next few days along with another freebie template. So be checking back soon. Thanks!

Introducing ME!!!

Well since I'm new to this whole Blog thing I thought I should start off by really introducing myself. I'm Shanna, 27. I am a SAHM to my 2yr. old daughter, Allison, and married to a really wonderful man, Keith. We live in a small town just north of Houston, TX. I enjoy spending time online on message boards and such. A year and half ago I started my own parenting message board which I spend a lot of time working on. Other than that graphics is really my passion. Way back in 1998 I was introduced to Paint Shop Pro and started making avatars for friends on a chat client. I really loved it then so I decided to take Desktop Publishing in college for a semester but didn't have the drive to learn it then so I dropped out. After years of not doing much with enhancing my skills I picked it back up again and bought Paint Shop Pro 8 and starting working more with avatars for a message board I was on at the time. After Allison was born I really got into the graphics and started making siggys. About a year ago I was introduced to Digital Scrapbooking and was hooked. I never thought I would ever make a scrapbook because I thought only paper was done, but found this is a huge hobby for many people. So here I am a year later, now using Photoshop and scrapping away. I have printed 3 books so far for my daughter and I plan on making many more in the future. I am trying to learn more of the design aspect of it all as well and start making my own kits a templates.

That all being said I have made a freebie template for my visitors to use. This is a Christmas card template and comes in 5x7 & 4x6 size. Sorry I only have it saved as a PSD file format because I'm really new at this sharing freebie stuff and hope to learn how to save in other formats in the future. ENJOY!
